WRAP Day Support For People With Dementia
We are a small friendly group of up to 12 people. We are an Activities centre and our main focus is to provide people with dementia the opportunities for brain stimulation, friendship and mutual support.
What we do
Everyone experiences dementia differently, so we are passionate to ensure individuals can express their interests, thoughts, and themselves in a safe, supportive environment.
The day at WRAP can also provide a day’s rest / free time for carers and once a month we run a Carers Group, to support carers and provide practical advice.
Our activities are designed to stimulate and help maintain skills. Activities offered by our dementia trained staff include music therapy, art, reminiscence through memory boxes / slideshows, word games, quizzes, ball games, visiting PAT dog and generally having fun and laughter!
For anyone who wishes to come along for a trial period, we initially invite the person with dementia and their loved one/carer to come and see WRAP and have a relaxed one-to-one chat over tea and biscuits to get to know their interests, life experiences so that we can make them feel as welcome as possible when they come along.

Where and when
We are based in the Community room of Hawkhurst House, Cranbrook Road, Hawkhurst, Kent. TN18 5EF
So, cover Hawkhurst, Cranbrook and all surrounding villages in Kent and Sussex.
Open Tuesdays and Thursdays. 9.30am – 3.30pm
The cost for attending is £50 per day inclusive of lunch, all refreshments and activities.
We try and provide transport where possible.
Volunteering
Volunteer opportunities exist in our Day Service to help out in the day centre or transporting people to/from our centre (round mileage from your home is paid). Just a few hours a week would make a real difference to the people that we support. If you feel that you could help, we would love to hear from you, email: wrapdds@gmail.com
