Volunteer With Us
Have you a few hours or more to spare and do not know what to do with them? Then maybe you would like to become a volunteer.
If you do not think you could help during the day at the WRAP Dementia care centre. Maybe you could help with driving people to and from the day centre, we always need drivers and you are reimbursed with mileage.
How about doing a morning or afternoon at The Green Shop where there is plenty going on. You will be part of a team and its rewarding to help the league with its many causes. The important thing is, these causes are for Hawkhurst and surrounding areas.
Or maybe you could spend a few hours at the hospital, its very rewarding. There are forms to fill in, a quiz and induction but it’s worthwhile to just see a smile on a face where the days can be long.

Volunteer opportunities exist in our Day Service or helping to transport people to our centre. Just a few hours a week would make a real difference to the people that we support. If you feel that you could help, we would love to hear from you.

The Green Shop
We are always looking for enthusiastic and willing volunteers to help serve our customers! We take raising money for the League of Friends very seriously, but also know how to have fun. At The Green Shop we are always on the lookout for someone who has a keen eye on something particular, for instance Books, Art or Bric a Brac, where we are able to tap into their knowledge and enthusiasm to create the perfect shop for our customers.
This can be quite a physical job, so please make sure you will be able to commit in becoming part of the team.
Once you have been with us for a while you will then be rewarded with 25% off all your purchases when you work or when you just pop in.
To volunteer: Please speak to Marianne in The Green Shop and ask for an application form. She will happily talk you through the process. Or use the online form below to register your interest.
Please remember you do need to be over 14 to volunteer with us. We also welcome Duke of Edinburgh Volunteer Students.

Hawkhurst Community Hospital
We understand from Matron at the hospital that they are looking for volunteers as since Covid their volunteering force has diminished.
Can you help them out?
There would be the usual checks as there are for anyone helping where people are concerned.
