OUTSIDE ENTERTAINMENT and of INTEREST

Firstly, remembering our lovely Kyri

Kyri was a well loved member of WRAP who sadly passed away in August.

He was known for his love of Jazz – teaching us all a thing or two, his dry sense of humour which is right down my street and we were priviledged to know him, Mary and his family.

A THANKYOU SO MUCH!!!!

Every month, we alternate our Tuesdays and Thursdays to have an outside entertainer in. This is funded with a huge thanks to Tracey Elliott  & Clare Thompson who give up their time to fundraise and generous donations from Biddenden strummers, HUG ukulele group, Whatlington community group and individual donations.

SPOTLIGHT ON SOME OF OUR EVERYDAY ACTIVITIES

Two wonderful singers : Kevin Walsh and Vince Cox

Two different styles and both immensely enjoyable that had us up dancing!! As always!

Sadly Naomi had to cancel for Animal Encounters due to all the heatwaves we had, but we look forward to seeing her and the menagerie in November.
To replace animal encounters for our Thursday members, we have Pygmy goats!! They are visiting us in October now that hopefully the heatwaves are over. So I look forward to posting photos in the next newsletter.

Spotlight on Ann and Nala

I wanted to thank Ann and gorgeous PAT dog Nala, who come in once a week on alternate Tuesdays and Thursday.

Ann always has an interesting fact for us, CAKE and is so upbeat and happy! The best cake being Tomato soup cake, yes, it was red and very tasty. Nala is a joy, she loves to sit next to everyone, making sure to rest against your leg and her hide and seek is definitely improving. It is the highlight of our week.

To aid cognitive stimulation All aimed at maintaining skills to think, read, remember, reason and aid concentration

The Dementia Experience runs HUG IN A MUG COFFEE MORNING – The Trough, Charity farm, Swattenden lane, Cranbrook – First Thursday of each month 10.00 – 11.30am.

Anne is an absolutely lovely, caring lady. She has personal experience of dementia and makes the coffee morning a relaxed, safe space.

For relatives and caregivers of individuals living with dementia. These gatherings provide a supportive space for family members to connect, share experiences, and offer mutual encouragement.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet others in similar situations, relax, and engage in meaningful conversations
